The Android 15 Beta 2.2 update has been released, addressing a number of bugs that have plagued Pixel users.
Beta 2.1 focuses on fixes to the previously released privacy space feature, while Beta 2.2 focuses on a series of comprehensive optimizations. IT House noted that Google has been working hard to address various issues Pixel users have experienced since the Beta version was launched. The update includes a number of important improvements that take the overall Pixel phone experience to the next level. For example, the privacy space feature that had been plaguing users is now fully fixed, and issues related to NFC payments and e-wallets have also been resolved.
The updated version number, AP31.240426.023, is available for the following Pixel series models:
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Pixel 6a
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
Pixel 7a
Pixel Fold
Pixel Tablet
Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
Pixel 8a
This minor update to Android 15 Beta 2 includes the following fixes:
Fixed an issue where the app icon was removed from the home screen (or home screen if multiple home screens were added) when creating a private space on the device for the first time. (Question #340868295)
Fixed a wallet role issue that blocked NFC payment functionality in some cases. (Question #340933949)
Fixed an issue where the app drawer would not open when swiping up. (Question 335798568)
Fixed an issue where NFC Watch mode would prevent NFC payments from being processed in some cases.
Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause videos recorded with 10-bit HDR to have a green tint.
Various other issues affecting system stability, interactivity, and connectivity were fixed.
Google has provided OTA files and original images for users to download, and users can wait for the phone to automatically push updates. Compared to the previous 12.12MB, the Beta 2.2 update pack is much larger, reaching 58MB. However, this update fixes a number of issues, such as app ICONS disappearing when using private Spaces for the first time.
It should be noted that even with the update to version 2.2, the occasional Bug is inevitable. Overall, the stability of Android 14 is still the best.
