Android Beam is an NFC sharing function added in Android 4, allowing two Android devices with NFC to share files by getting close. According to information discovered by the leakster Mishaal Rahman, next year’s Android 14 will completely remove the Android Beam feature.
It is reported that this feature has stopped development in Android 10, but other Android manufacturers using AOSP are allowed to carry it. In the new Android 14, this feature will be completely removed from AOSP, which means that other Android manufacturers will not be able to use it.
It is reported that Google has launched Nearby Share for Google Mobile Services (GMS) Android devices, which is not available on non-GMS Android devices.
