Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Huami surprised CES 2020 with the launch of Amazfit HomeStudio, a home gym device that includes a giant screen and mirror-like display. Composed of 3 different products, the center of HomeStudio is a high-end treadmill with 55 rubber-coated aluminum sheets, a maximum speed of 20km / h, capable of tilting 10 levels (tilting up to an angle of maximum 7 degrees).
The top of the Amazfit HomeStudio runs two parallel bars, allowing you to use it in a variety of ways. You can hold them to keep your balance while running, but they are also strong enough to support you in all-around pushups.
Next is a 56-inch vertical mirror, called the SmartGym Hub. This mirror is integrated with a 43-inch LCD screen, Full HD 1080p resolution and comes pre-installed with a series of training instruction videos.
The giant mirror is integrated with JBL speakers in 3-dimensional surround with a microphone cluster. Huami said that in the future, the company will consider adding a third-party voice assistant to help users control the gym system by voice.
On the nail of the SmartGym Hub is a ToF 3D camera, which compares your posture when practicing with the posture of a professional gymer, and has a camera cover that you can swipe to the side to protect your privacy when the camera is not needed.
Huami intends in the future, HomeGym can connect with smartwatches, headsets, and other smartphone applications to record your workout data. There is currently no pricing for the Amazfit HomeStudio, as well as its market date (in case it’s actually sold).
