There are not many new tablets on the market – even Chinese manufacturers release less and less tablets. Alldocube does it quite regularly and recently has launched its Alldocube M5 tablet which is now available for purchase via a number of sources, and the company has also said that a more affordable variant of that tablet is in the works. That being said, the Alldocube M5 is now available via AliExpress and Amazon (in several countries), and it’s priced at $169.

According to the official release, now the company is planning on a more affordable version called the M5S while keeping most of the specs the same, there’s still minor change, which – I must admit – will offer a very good specification.
The Alldocube M5S will be equipped with an IPS display with a diagonal of 10.1 inches, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. Tablet drives ten-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor with Mali-T880 MP4 graphics.
The processor will work with 3GB of RAM. Built-in memory should have a capacity of 32GB and there will be the possibility of its expansion using a microSD card (with a maximum capacity of 128GB). On board the tablet there will also be two SIM card slots with LTE connectivity, which is often missing for tablets and hybrids manufacturers.
Alldocube M5S will work under the control of Android 8.0 Oreo, and the energy for operation will provide it with a battery with a capacity of 6600mAh – such a reserve of energy is enough for 6 hours of video playback, 20 hours of music or 5 hours of playing. The producer also mentions the presence of dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and two loudspeakers that provide a stereo sound effect. There will also be GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, and Beidou on board. The housing of the device is to be made of metal.
Here’s a table with the main differences between the two tablets
The producer has not revealed Alldocube M5S prices yet, but it can be expected that he will go on sale soon and will cost about $130. And there’s no released date confirmed yet, but you can always keep an eye on their official site about M5S here:
