WOW…there has been some rumors and leaks galore popping up everywhere on the internet about the impending release of, get this, not one, but two new Xiaomi flagship models in the second half of the year. The 2 new releases are an upgraded version of the Xiaomi Mi5, to be called the Xiaomi Mi5S and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, the long awaited successor to the Mi Note series phablets, that were announced back in January of 2015. Like we say there has been a hive of activity about these two devices springing up everywhere online. While Huawei was one of the first, to release Huawei Mate S, a Force Touch enabled smartphone, the ability to fully utilize the new technology and its touch based features were limited. In fact, Apple has had much better critical acclaim of their 3D touch and the application of the pressure sensitive technology than all of the phone makers using the android platform. We welcome the the news with great excitement to learn that Xiaomi’s pressure sensitive display has surpassed that of Huawei or Meizu.
Anyway back to Xiaomi, back in April an insider, Mocha RQ revealed a few details about these two phones. The Xiaomi Mi5S is now confirmed to be coming with a double glass display, but will definitely be coming with some upgrades not least the pressure sensitive display and the use of the Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor by Qualcomm. There are even rumors circulating that it will even come with dual shooters. Now, on to the Xiaomi Mi Note 2,strong rumors suggest it will come with a 5.7-inch double glass display and come packed with aSnapdragon 821 inside. Even this is said to be coming with A pressure sensitive display and that an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will also be included as with an all metal body body. Both devices are in the final stages of certification so we can Expect the two handsets around the 7th August. Research Director Kevin Wang sent out 2 weibo posts just today confirming the launch of the two new flagship phones in August. If the price tag of the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was more than 4000 Yuan around $600 , would you consider buying it?
