At Google I/O 2018, Google starts to launch Android P Beta project, adding Xiaomi, Oppo, VIVO, Nokia and other third-party models, Qualcomm also follows and claims that they will cooperate with OEM to keep Snapdragon 626/660/845 smartphone to upgrade to Android P first.
According to XDA, Qualcomm will offer those three SoC BSP (Board Support Package) based on Android P OS.
The material shows BSP is between hardware and Android, which is inevitable part of a smartphone, similar to bottom hardware basic driver and hardware description information, including CPU and other key software support, namely, BSP can be regarded as an inserted software driver.
Google emphasizes 11 phones from the first batch of Android P Beta test are Treble project,beneficiary, so we can deploy system update. By the way, Oneplus 6 has also confirmed to be the first batch to upgrade to Android P OS, stay tuned.
