The smartphone manufacturer ZTE is not having a good week, but that did not stop Nubia, one of its sub-brands, from launching Red Magic, a new smartphone aimed at games. The device was introduced in China and comes to compete against the Xiaomi Black Shark and the Razer Phone.
Nubia Red Magic has a design inspired by the automotive hyper-top. The back is curved for better grip while playing the game. RGB LED backlight for 4 shades. This is the first time that this design is on smartphones. The Nubia Red Magic comes equipped with a Full HD + 6-inch screen and 18: 9 aspect ratio. During the presentation, the company did not mention the refresh rate of 120Hz.
The processing is owned by Snapdragon 835, the top of Qualcomm last year and also equips the Razer Phone. To handle heavy gaming, the device has 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The battery is 3800mAh, which leaves the device behind the competitors already mentioned, which bring the power of 4000mAh.
Other highlights of Nubia Red Magic are an advanced cooling system and GameBoost, software that promises to improve smartphone hardware when running games. The device also features 24MP main camera, which records in 4K, 8MP front, a rear digital player, audio connection, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 5.0.

Nubia has not revealed which markets Red Magic will be available. The device will be on sale from April 25th, and from the following day also via the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform at a price of $399.
