In February, AnTuTu had released the top ten list of smartphones with best performance. The list was ruled by Huawei’s Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro that are powered by Kirin 970. It clearly revealed that the Kirin 970 that is equipped with a dedicated NPU unit for AI can deliver better performance than Snapdragon 835 powered flagship phones. This year, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are the first phones to hit the market with Snapdragon 845 chipset onboard. Also, these two phones are the first SD845 devices to rank on AnTuTu. The benchmarking platform has released a new list of top 10 smartphones with best performance. The new list reveals that the Galaxy S9 duo have dethroned Huawei’s Mate 10 duo from the top position.
As it can be seen in the image below, the Galaxy S9+ which is also the first Samsung phone to come with vertically arranged dual cameras is at the top of the list with an AnTuTu score of 264,402. The second spot goes to Galaxy S9 with a score of 263,754. The Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 are sitting on the third and fourth positions with respective scores of 213,980 and 213,909. The Honor V10 makes it to the top five list with 212,934 score.
The OnePlus 5T is the first Snapdragon 835 phone in the list which holds on to the sixth position with a score of 210,95A. The OnePlus 5 is close behind with a score of 210,499. The Nubia Z17 and Z17S that are also driven by Snapdragon 835 are positioned on eighth and ninth with respective scores of 208,230 and 207,544. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is the last phone in the list with a score of 206,279. The SD845 powered Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is not in the list because it had debuted at the end of March.
