The rumor mill has been revealing plenty of information on the Snapdragon 670 that is expected to arrive as a successor of the Snapdragon 660 chipset. Fresh information reveals that Xiaomi’s two upcoming phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 670.
According to XDA Developers, the two Xiaomi phones that are rumored to be fueled by the Snapdragon 670 are codenamed as Comet and Sirus. He has also claimed that these phones may take some time to debut in the market. Speculations are rife that the Comet and Sirus may hit the shelves as Mi Note 4 and Mi Max 3.
Last year, Xiaomi had launched the Mi Note 3 with Snapdragon 660. Hence, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer may power the successor of the Mi Note 3 with Snapdragon 670. It may debut by September this year.
As far as the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is concerned, there is no concrete evidence to prove that the Mi Max 3 will indeed feature the SD670 SoC. The original Mi Max and Mi Max 2 were both fueled by Snapdragon 625. Hence, it is difficult to guess whether the Chinese firm will use the SD670 – the next best chipset after SD845 to power the Mi Max 3. Xiaomi fans will have to wait more for the rumor mill to reveal more details on the Comet and Sirus phones.
