- Redmi Pro is first phone from Xiaomi that has dual rear cameras.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the first mobile of the company that features two cameras at the rear. This gives the ability to create photos with shallow depth of field and thus have a blurry background, which is called bokeh in photography lingo. This result is achieved by Redmi Pro using a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 as primary camera, equipped with an aperture of F/2.0 and a 5-megapixel Samsung camera as secondary, for depth information. All these info is processed by a dedicated ImagiQ image processor, who gives with fantastic result. - OLED display is used here for the first time by Xiaomi.
Till now Xiaomi wasn’t using any OLED displays. Redmi Pro will be the first that will have a 5.5-inch Full HD OLED display. OLED technology has a very high contrast ratio (60000:1) and vivid colors, so is better.
- Redmi Pro is having a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
Fingerprint sensor appeared for the first time, on the front, at Mi5. Redmi Pro is the first device of the Redmi product line who also has a fingerprint sensor on the front. This could not be that important, but for sure it shows that Xiaomi are keen on getting their ergonomics right. Also, in order to have a second camera the mobile, there was a completely redesigning on the back.
- Xiaomi Redmi Pro will come with MIUI 8 from the factrory.
MIUI 8 has come out recently, but as you may know is still in beta in all Xiaomi and of course Redmi devices. Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be the first device to have installed MIUI 8 and run out of the box.
- USB Type-C charging connector.
Nowdays more companies seem to leave from the Micro-USB standard and go to the new USB Type-C port. Xiaomi is one of these companies that shows to follow this tendency. USB Type-C allows for reversible plug orientation and thus making your life easier.
- Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes with 2.5D curved glass and many more.
The Redmi Pro features a full metal unibody design with a brushed metal finish and CNC chamfered edges, the OLED display is covered with a 2.5D shaped glass which improves both the look and feel of the device.
- Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes out in 3 versions.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be available in three different versions, in order to decide what is best for you and your pocket of course. The least powerful model has a Mediatek Helio X20, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The most powerful features a Mediatek Helio X25, which come in two configurations, one with 3GB and 64GB of storage and one with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
- Dual SIM or Single SIM + Micro SD can be used on the Redmi Pro.
Some may need 2 Sims (one personal, one professional number), some may use only one of the 2 sim slots. If you are from the second group, at the second sim slot you can insert a Micro SD to store your movies and what else and increase your internal storage. If you are from the first group, you will not have to carry a second mobile device to do your job and have at the same time your private life!
