Fresh information reveals that the reception for the Galaxy S9 series as not as good as it was for the Galaxy S8 series last year. It is speculated that Samsung is considering launching a premium phone like the Galaxy Note Edge that was launched in 2014. A concept version of the mysterious Samsung Galaxy Edge has surfaced along with its specs.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge concept phone that is fitted with a 6.4-inch display that supports 4K resolution. It sports the Infinity Display design with reduced upper and lower bezels compared to Galaxy S9. The screen of the phone is also curved towards the left and right edges. Hence, it sports a premium borderless design from the front. Even without turning on the display, it can show a lot of information such as shorts and thumbnails.
The chassis of the Galaxy Edge is made out of glass. The back panel of the concept phone is flanked with vertically arranged dual rear cameras. The 3.5mm audio jack has been removed from the concept phone in order to reduce its thickness.
The Snapdragon 845 chipset is present under the hood of the Samsung Galaxy Edge phone. It features 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options. It is fueled by a 4,00 mAh battery that carries support for Quick Charge 3.0. It is also equipped with 3D face recognition and in-screen fingerprint reader. It is enabled with wireless charging, NFC and some other features.
