Huawei is going to launch P20 and P20 Pro flagship phones on March 27. Both the phones are rumored to feature the notched display design like the Apple iPhone X. Today, a Huawei device labelled as Huawei EML-L29 has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform to reveal some of its key specs. It is speculated that this handset could be the Huawei P20
As it can be seen in the screenshot below, the Huawei EML-L29 is running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset is driven by 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. Recent reports have revealed that the Kirin 970 chipset that comes with an AI NPU will be powering the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro handsets. It the same chipset that is found under the hood of the Mate 10 series flagship phones that were released last year. The SoC on the Huawei EML-L29 is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. In single-core test, the handset has scored 1878 whereas in multi-core test, it has scored 6699.
These benchmark scores are good, but no way close to pose a threat to its major rival, the Samsung Galaxy S9. However, the Kirin 970 was found to be one of the best performing chipsets compared to Snapdragon chipset powered flagship phones.
The Huawei P20 is expected to be available in 6 GB RAM option as well. It will be sporting dual rear cameras and a notched enabled 5.99-inch LCD panel. It is expected to arrive in the market with a pricing of 670 euros.
