It has become quite clear that one of the great trends this year, as one would expect, is the presence of the integrated fingerprint reader on the screen. After the big manufacturers started their tests last year, the first to launch a smartphone with this technology turned out to be Vivo. However you would expect the Galaxy Note 9 to be the first smartphone from Samsung to have the player integrated into the screen, but it seems that this will not happen.
A well-known analyst at KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, shared details about the next Samsung flagship smartphone – the Galaxy Note 9. According to him, the South Korean manufacturer does not intend to introduce one promising technology into the coming device.
Ming-Chi Kuo said that the Galaxy Note 9 does not have to wait for the fingerprint reader to be built into the display. Earlier, he accurately predicted that this technology will not be in the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. According to the analyst, Samsung has abandoned this idea for technological reasons. Interestingly, this is exactly the case last year, the Samsung spokesman explained the lack of a fingerprinting Galaxy Note 8 built-in screen.
Apparently, Samsung really adheres to a new strategy – not to chase technology. Recall that at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, the head of the mobile division, Samsung DJ Choch, said that they no longer intend to be the first in terms of introducing new technologies. From now on, they will use new developments only when they can fully meet their quality requirements.
