At the 2018 MWC event, MediaTek introduced the new Helio P60 processor. Well, reportedly this phone will power Oppo R15. At the launch of its new processor, MediaTek did not mention which OEM will first carry the Helio P60.
But now an information revealed @MMDDJ_ account, he wrote Oppo R15 will present with MTK Helio P60. We already know quite a lot about it, and the manufacturer himself showed us the design of his smartphone to some extent. Is there something to wait for?
Design
The teaser reveals little in terms of specifications but a couple of important features are perceived: fullscreen display with the ‘notch’ on the upper edge to accommodate the front sensors and almost borderless design. The front camera is the fashion that started with the iPhone X, and the rest of the producers also came to the conclusion that it is worth to put on it. In retrospect, I think it’s a better solution than the larger beam at the top or bottom. The Oppo R15 will look very much like the ASUS Zenfone 5 – for me, it’s no flaw, because I liked it a lot.
Screen
The Oppo R15 could tout a 6-inch Display whereas the R15 Plus could have a 6.4-inch display. If I were to take a guess, I would speculate that the R15 would have a Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio whereas the R15 Plus could sport a QHD+ Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Similarly, the plus model is also expected have an In-screen fingerprint scanner like the Vivo APEX.
Specs
As I wrote earlier, in my opinion, MediaTek Helio P60 is a great processor that will calmly compete with Snapdragon – not only in benchmarks. It is he who is supposed to be the heart of Oppo R15, although information on this matter is not entirely clear. According to previous rumors, it was supposed to be Snapdragon 670. Anyway, I think the option with MediaTek is more likely. Support in everyday work will provide 4GB of RAM.
Price and Release Date
The pricing isn’t available yet but I would guess that they would price the devices under $500. It is expected that the Chinese corporation Oppo will officially introduce two of its smartphones, which are advanced clones of the iPhone X, in March this year, that is, this month. When exactly this happens – it is not known, however, the news has already attracted the attention of not only journalists but also buyers, since both phones are in fact the only real analogs of the Apple product. The Oppo R15 and the Oppo R15 Plus are expected to feature the latest technology in the smartphone industry.
