Meizu launched Meizu X based on the Helio P20 chipset in November 2016. However, in 2017 the next Meizu X2 was not released. Finally, Meizu Vice President Li Nan announced the release date, specifications, and prices for the new flagship. Unfortunately for fans of Meizu, the release of Meizu X2 is postponed until the end of 2018. Li Nan previously said that Meizu X of the second generation will not be a mid-range smartphone, but will have flagship characteristics. Today, he noted that Meizu X2 will work on the advanced Snapdragon 845 and will cost 2,999 yuan ($473).
Meizu recently released the Meizu M6S with a full-screen design. Recent reports have shown that the upcoming Meizu phones, such as Meizu E3, Meizu 15, Meizu 15 Lite and Meizu Plus, will also have a full-screen design. Therefore, Meizu X2 will also have a display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Early rumors claimed that a secondary round-shaped display might be present on the back of the phone.
