Well-known tech journalist Eldar Murtazin had revealed around two months ago that Nokia 1 will be launching as an Android Go phone. Recent reports have claimed that it could be one of the phones that HMD Global may unleash at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech exhibition in Barcelona, Spain later this month. Yesterday, popular leakster Evan Blass revealed two renders of the Nokia 1 smartphone.
As it can be seen in the renders below, the Nokia 1 seems to be a small-sized entry-level smartphone. It appears to be housed in a polycarbonate chassis and it is likely to arrive in the market in two colors like indigo and red. The rear side of the phone features a single camera that is coupled with an LED flash. The Nokia branding and an external speaker are also present on the rear. Since it is an entry-level device, it does not feature a fingerprint scanner. It appears to feature a 4-inch to 5-inch display.
According to information leaked by the tech journalist few months ago, the Nokia 1 would be coming with features like IPS HD display, Snapdragon or MediaTek chip, Android Go based on Android Oreo, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of native storage. It may hit the market in March with a price tag of around $105.
