The Exynos 9810 is the latest smartphone chipset from Samsung. It is expected to power the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones that will be heading outside of the U.S. and China. Today, the Exynos 9810 has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking site to reveal that it could be the best chipset built ever for Android devices.
On Geekbench, the chipset is seen powering the Samsung SM-G960F smartphone which is nothing but the upcoming Galaxy S9. It appears that Samsung could be testing the performance of the Galaxy S9 before making it official later this month.
It has scored 3648 on single-core test and 8894 on multi-core test. The S9 is running on Android 8.0 and the chipset is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The processor can be seen clocking at 1.79 GHz.
The Apple A10X Fusion is a modified version of the Apple 10 chipset. It powers devices like the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro from 2017. In one of the Geekbench benchmarks, the Apple A10X Fusion had scored 3832 and 9091 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Since the performance of the Exynos 9810 is slightly below the Apple A10X Fusion, it shows that the Samsung’s chipset could be the most powerful SoC for Android devices.
The Exynos 9810 can deliver a maximum clocking speed of 2.9 GHz. It includes Mali-G72 MP18 graphics, UFS 2.1 storage, LPDDR4X RAM, Cat. 18 LTE modem that offers 1.2 Gbps download speed and it also contains support for neural network-based deep learning.
