On the occasion of the official presentation of the new Honor 9 Lite for the European market, Honor has officially confirmed that Honor 8 and Honor 7X will receive the update to Android Oreo 8.0 and the new EMUI 8.0, the user interface that characterizes the most recent Huawei and Honor smartphone.
This is a very awaited confirmation, especially from the owners of Honor 8 that, at first, should not have received the update to the new version of Android. Honor has chosen to retrace his steps by announcing the arrival of the long-awaited update for the Q2 of 2018. The 2 smartphones will receive Android Oreo within the next month of June. For the time being, there are no more precise timescales regarding the timing of the release of the OTA.
The certainty of the arrival of Android Oreo on Honor 8 and Honor 7X over the next few weeks makes the two smartphones, again, excellent devices to buy. Honor 8 can count on a 5.2-inch 16: 9 display and FullHD resolution flanked by the Kirin 950 SoC, 4 GB of Ram, 64 GB of storage and dual rear-view cameras.
Honor 7X, on the other hand, features a 5.9-inch 18: 9 display and FullHD + resolution, Kirin 659 SoC, 4 GB of Ram, 64 GB of storage and, even in this case, dual rear camera. Also, note that both smartphones are Dual Sim supported.
