The rumor mill has been consistently claiming that Xiaomi would be debuting the Mi 7 flagship at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech exhibition in February. However, fresh reports claim that the Chinese manufacturer will be skipping Mi 7’s launch at MWC 2018. Instead of Mi 7, it is rumored to unveil the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s smartphone.
Samsung will be debuting the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagship smartphones on Feb. 25 through the pre-MWC 2018 event in the next month. Recent reports have suggested that LG, Huawei and HTC will not be launching new flagship phones at MWC 2018. However, there are only two other companies that are expected to debut Snapdragon 845 driven flagship phones. They are Sony and Xiaomi. Sony is speculated to announce the Xperia XZ Pro and Xperia XZ2 flagship phones at MWC 2018. As far as Xiaomi is concerned, Xiaomi seems to be prepping for the launch of Mi MIX 2S and not Mi 7.
