Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are debuting at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. This was already confirmed by Samsung’s mobile chief DJ Koh earlier this month. Today, the South Korean company has made it official that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be announced on February 25.
Shown below the official invitation of the Galaxy Unpacked 2018 for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9. It clearly reveals that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be arriving with stellar cameras. Leaked information has revealed that the Galaxy S9 will be coming with a single 12-megapixel rear camera while the Galaxy S9+ will be the first Galaxy S series smartphone from the company to arrive with 12-megapixel dual rear cameras. Unlike the Galaxy Note 8 that has a horizontal dual camera setup, the Galaxy S9+ is pegged to feature vertically aligned dual camera system.

The most striking camera feature of the upcoming flagship phones from Samsung is that both the phones will feature variable camera aperture for their cameras. Through this feature, users will be able to customize and shoot photos by adjust camera aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.4. Both the smartphones are also rumored to support full HD video recording at super-slow motion speeds of 480 fps.
The Galaxy S9 is expected to house 5.8-inch 18.5:9 aspect ratio S-AMOLED display, 4 GB RAM and 3,000mAh battery whereas the Galaxy S9+ may feature 6.2-inch 18.5:9 aspect ratio S-AMOLED display, 6 GB RAM, and 3,500mAh battery. These smartphones are expected to go on pre-sale from March 1 and their shipments are rumored to start on March 16.
