Since Huawei had launched the P10 series at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in the previous year, the rumor mill has been speculating that its successor phone will be debuting at MWC 2018 this year. However, fresh information states that its arrival has been delayed as the company is planning to hold a separate launch event for in March and April. It is speculated that the Huawei P11 would be borrowing some specs from the iPhone X.
It is speculated that the Huawei P11 would be sporting a notch like the iPhone X on its full screen design display. Moreover, it is also rumored to borrow 3D facial recognition feature from the first OLED iPhone. The Kirin 970 chipset present under the hood of the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Honor V10 will be powering the Huawei P11 flagship phone. As previous rumors have claimed at least one of the variants of the P11 would be equipped with triple rear cameras. The handset is also expected to arrive with an IP67 certified chassis.

Some reports had claimed that the P10’s successor would be debuting as P20. However, the P11 moniker has been trademarked by Huawei in the U.S., Britain, Hong Kong and some other places. Moreover, the test pages of Huawei.com website carried names of P11 and P12 which indicates that the upcoming flagship phone from the company will be debuting as P11. Hence, the P11 series is expected to include P11, P11 Lite and P11 Plus smartphones.
