Pete Lau, the founder, and CEO of OnePlus gave an interview to the US CNET website. He confirms the arrival of OnePlus 6 for the end of the second quarter as well as a part of its technical sheet. On the other hand, a OnePlus 6T is not 100% certain.
The second quarter of the year covers April, May, and June. Therefore, it may seem that Lau points to a vague history. However, OnePlus CEO said new smartphones will be introduced later in the second quarter. This can be interpreted as the phone will appear in June. Lau told the phone that there was no such thing as placing a chipset other than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, but he did not give any other information about the phone.
Lau also has problems with the company and American mobile operators. Lau said he wanted to negotiate with American mobile operators and sell their phones through operators again.
Although Pete Lau does not share much detail, the rumor about OnePlus 6 is circling around. The smartphone is said to carry a more advanced version of the Face Unlock system in the OnePlus 5T. This system will have a hardware infrastructure similar to the Face ID system in iPhone X, and it will also benefit from an infrared 3D module.
