ZTE recently confirmed that the ZTE Axon 7 will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update. This was good news given that the Chinese company had stopped producing this device. Now, ZTE has revealed the timeframe for when the Oreo Android 7 Zune Axon 7 update will arrive.
The ZTE branch in Germany confirmed through its official forums that the upgrade of Android 8.0 Oreo will be released for the ZTE Axon 7 in April of next year. The company said:
“Our plan is that we expect the new update to be distributed on your device in April 2018. With the update, the new UI Stock + UI will be available for the ZTE Axon 7 for the first time ever.”
As explained by the company, the update of Android 8.0 Oreo will bring with it along the new user interface Stock + UI, which means that the user interface will be closer to the interface Android raw although there will be some additions and changes.
The ZTE Axon 7 features 5.5-inch AMOLED (2560 x 1440 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is fitted with a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, which is paired with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and an expandable storage slot of up to 128GB capacity. The smartphone is backed up by 3250mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

ZTE Axon 7 has a 20MP camera with Dual LED flash, Samsung Isocell sensor, sapphire lens, PDAF, OIS, the f/1.8 aperture on the back panel, and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), NFC, Fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The handset measures 151.7 x 75 x 7.9mm and weighs 185 grams.
