The LG G7 is revealed today in video through a realistic concept created by DBS Designing. The video offers an overview of the design of the flagship, but also reveals its different technical characteristics. The opportunity to have a first look at what will look like the next flagship of LG, the main competitor of the Samsung Galaxy S9.
The LG G7 is LG’s next flagship. Just like the Galaxy S9 his South Korean compatriot Samsung, the LG G-7 should be presented in the month of January 2018. Therefore, this smartphone is expected as the main rival of the Samsung device. To face a giant like the Galaxy S9, it goes without saying that the LG G7 will have to be up to it, will LG manage to come back with a smartphone amazing enough to shake Samsung?
Today, however, the designers of DBS Designing unveil a video concept gathering an aesthetic overview of the flagship as well as information on its technical sheet. The opportunity to take stock. First of all, without any surprise, the LG G7 should present a “borderless” design with a screen surrounded by extremely thin borders. This was already the case for the G6 and V30, but the lower and upper borders are also very thin.
According to the source, the smartphone would be waterproof certified, and keep the plug Jack 3.5 mm on which more and more manufacturers choose to ignore. A USB-C port would also be there. The designer also reveals the different colors to be expected for the flagship. Regarding the screen, it would be a 5.8 inches slab offering a QHD + definition. DBS Designing does not specify what will be the embedded processor but predicts a 6GB of Ram memory. It’s less than the OnePlus 5T at 8GB Ram, but more than the Galaxy S8 at 4GB. According to previous rumors, the LG G7 would be equipped with Snapdragon 845, like most flagships of 2018.
We would find a dual 16MP sensor on the back, but also a dual sensor 8MP front. The set would be powered by a 3500 mAh battery compatible with fast charging. Curiously, the designer predicts that the fingerprint scanner will be located under the screen. In fact, it is very unlikely because even Samsung should be able to integrate the scanner under the screen only from the Galaxy Note 9 end 2018. If LG actually achieves it before its competitor, it would be a real tour de force, but it is rather likely that the scanner is integrated behind the smartphone.

However, there is no guarantee that the LG G7 will look like this concept. The designer was based on the few leaked information circulating on the web, and on the trends that await Android smartphones in 2018 such as borderless screens and the Snapdragon 845. Despite everything, it is quite possible that LG chooses to take a totally different direction. Do you think the LG G7 will actually look like this smartphone?
