There is a new “flag killer”. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, revealed that the company’s next high-end smartphone will be revealed on November 13. The device will debut under the name OnePlus 5T. Soon after the Pete Lau, promised that the OnePlus 5T would retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a photo appeared on the network that showed the novelty “live.”
The picture was taken during the Paris Game Exhibition Week in Paris, its author – professional cyber sportsman Alessandro “Palmatoro” Palmarini. The fact is that OnePlus is the official sponsor of the cyber-sports team Fnatic, which includes Palmarini, so there is little doubt that the image of the OnePlus 5T model is practically nonexistent.
As you can see, in general, the design repeats what we saw and heard before: the almost complete absence of side frames and very narrow frames at the top and bottom. As we have already noted on several occasions, in general, the front of the OnePlus 5T is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8. Additional similarities give bent in the same manner edges of the front panel, smoothly flowing into the body. Bending can be discerned in spite of not the highest quality of the photo, as you can see the lack of a fingerprint scanner on the front panel. Well, it seems that everything is clear from the point of view of design, at least, if we talk about the front panel.
According to preliminary data, OnePlus 5T will receive a 6-inch diagonal display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 (2160×1080 pixels), SoC Snapdragon 835, 8 GB RAM, a dual main camera and two versions with 64 and 128 GB of internal flash memory respectively.
Despite a configuration that is relatively similar to competing for high-end smartphones, the OnePlus 5 is relatively affordable and costs $479 for 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option has a $539 price tag. It is expected that the OnePlus 5T won’t be much different than the original OnePlus 5. Still, we will have to wait for the official specs sheet, as OnePlus hasn’t released it yet. The phone maker only spoke about the headphone jack, which confirms that the smartphone is in development.
