A few years ago, we were saying that it was confusing to follow Samsung’s extensive roll-out list on the mobile market. Today, it seems that it is ASUS who wants to hit records. Asus presented the new Zenfone 4 models for the Brazilian market. The list is extensive, with 4 variants of the smartphone: Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro. The company might have surprised you with the release of another Zenfone smartphone, and this time it is called Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite according to information coming from the Philippines.
Apparently exclusive to the country, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite is simpler than the models released in Brazil, not having even the biggest differential of the national models, the dual camera for selfies. Instead of the 20MP and 8MP sensors, it has a simple 13MP camera with f / 2.0 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera also suffered a downgrade and was replaced by a simpler sensor of 13 MP.
However, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite does not only have cameras worse than the other two models, the chipset used in the device is also simpler. While the Selfie and Selfie Pro models rely on Snapdragon 430 and 625 respectively, Selfie Lite uses Snapdragon 425. Another downgrade occurred in the amount of RAM and internal storage. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite has only 2GB of RAM and versions with 32GB or 16GB of internal storage.
Apart from the above specifications, the device is identical to the ones released here, with a 3.000mAh battery, digital reader and IPS LCD screen of 5.5 inches. The Android version is also Nougat under the ZenUI interface.
Having said all that, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite may end up being an interesting option for those who want good selfies, likes a greater autonomy and does not want to spend much on the exchange of cell phone. The idea is for the handset to be sold in the Philippines by the end of this month and worth between 156USD and 176USD – 492USD and 555USD, respectively. It is not yet known if the device arrives in Brazil or if it stays out like the Zenfone 4 Pro.
