Review of the cheap M-net Power 1 smartphone with 5050mAh battery! (w/ real images, video and coupon included)

As a doctor, I work many hours in the hospital. Specially when I’m on duty, I have to be at the hospital for at least 36 hours. This means that for this period I don’t have the ability to charge my phone if it is needed. For this reason I was searching for a good mobile that has a very strong battery, but on the same time won’t cost a lot, since I already have a Xiaomi Mi5S Plus. I was searching for a second mobile that I can use for heavy duty when I need it and I found the ideal one, the M-net Power 1 smartphone.

The M-net Power 1 smartphone came to me with post, well protected from hit and falls. Opening the package, came across a nice blue box. On the top of the box was a picture of a mobile mentioning that contains a 5050mAh battery and the name of the mobile M-net. On the other side, you can see various specs about the M-net.

Opening the box, we find inside the mobile inside a protective plastic bag, a second hard case which was in blue for me, a micro usb cable, a EU adaptor and a manual in english.

The M-net Power 1 comes with an IPS 5 inch display and 1280 x 720 screen resolution. The mobile has typical dimensions for a 5″ mobile and are 14.36 x 7.18 x 1.08 cm, but is heavy since it contains a 505mAh battery, so the 187g are normal for this mobile. The back cover can be changed and replace it with any of the four colors that comes with. At me, the initial back cover was in black and as you can see in the photos and at the video review in the end, I changed it in a very nice mint green that came with. You can change it to regular black, grey or gold and every day have a different mobile!

The M-net Power 1 is made out of hard plastic. On the right side we can find the usual power button and for the volume, from the lower side are the microphone and speakers and from the upper side the micro USB slot for charging and data transfer and the 3.5mm audio jack slot. On the front side of the mobile, we find a typical 2.5D curved display. You can see the front camera with the flashlight, the sensors hole that includes light proximity and gesture sensors. Unfortunately there are no notification LED and the buttons for navigation, are not physical.

There is no SIM slot, because we have to remove the back case to reach the SIM compartment. We see that the M-net Power 1 supports dual nano SIM or it can takes one SIM and one TF card to expand your internal storage space. The smartphone supports Dual-Standby. The battery below, we see that mentions that is a 5050mAh.

The M-net Power 1 comes with the quad core MediaTek MT6580A clocked at 1.3GHz, ARM Cortex-A7. For the graphics the ARM Mali-400 MP1, tries to do it’s best. The M-net Power 1 is equipped with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded as we have said with a MicroSD card, with 32GB more. The smartphone comes with FreemeOS, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Inside it you wont find any unnecessary apps installed.

The main back camera of the M-net Power 1 is with 5MP and OmniVision sensor. The same kind of resolution and sensor we find and at the front camera, that features also and flashlight, as we have said. The smartphone supports 3G,Bluetooth,GPS,GSM,WiFi 802.11b/g/n wireless internet and GSM and WCDMA as network systems.

Powering up the mobile, we find inside already installed Playstore as and some social apps like Facebook, twitter and Whatsapp. Installing AIDA 64, we got a much better and detailed info about the mobile.

After that I installed Androbench, Geekbend and Antutu to see what results can it get. The final results aren’t bad if we take under consideration the specs that has.

Of course the strongest point of the mobile is the battery itself and this was the main reason I got this mobile.

As you can see the Screen on gets more than 24 hours, which is the first time I see such a number! The company says that has standby time of 35 days and looking at my results, I will agree with the number mentioned by M-net!

The M-net Power 1 is the first attempt of the company to make a good smartphone. As for the specs, for sure is not the best, but we are speaking for a mid range smartphone, so don’t expect that much. As for the battery, is the best! I’m sure you will forget when you last charged your mobile. You can read more info about the M-net Power 1 at the official site. You can get the M-net Power 1 smartphone from Gearbest and if you use our coupon code GBMBP, it will become yours for only 68.95$!
