Huawei has officially launched the Watch D2, the successor to its Watch D, in international markets. Alongside the Watch D2, Huawei also unveiled the Watch GT 5, Watch GT 5 Pro, and a new lineup of tablets. The Watch D2 stands out for its advanced blood pressure monitoring capabilities, utilizing a built-in micro pump that offers greater accuracy compared to competitors like the Apple Watch Series 10 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra.
One key feature of the Watch D2 is its support for 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), providing users with weekly reports and insights into how different activities impact their blood pressure. For optimal accuracy, users are advised to keep their wrist at heart level during measurements, as readings taken during sleep or regular activities may not be as precise.
Huawei claims the Watch D2 not only improves upon its predecessor in blood pressure accuracy but also features a sleeker design. The device comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS, and the new Huawei TruSense sensor. It also offers skin temperature monitoring and electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities.
In Europe, the Watch D2 is priced at €399, matching the price of the previous model. Pre-orders placed between September 19 and 24 will include free FreeBuds 5i headphones and other perks.
