According to media reports, the 2023 iPhone launch time is September 12, and the 2021 iPhone launch time is September 14, both dates are held eight days after Labor Day in the United States.
Labor Day falls on September 2 this year, so the iPhone 16 could be released on Tuesday, September 10.
In line with Apple’s past practice, the iPhone 16 series is expected to open for pre-order on Friday, September 13, and will go on sale as soon as September 20.
Like the previous generation, this year’s iPhone 16 series is still four models, namely the standard edition, Plus edition, Pro edition and Pro Max edition.
In terms of configuration, the iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with a 6.3-inch display, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a 6.9-inch display, and the screen changes in the Pro series may be related to the addition of a 5x quadrilateral telephoto camera, which is expected to be equipped with both Pro models this year.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Standard edition will have a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Plus will have a 6.7-inch screen, both of which will come with a 60Hz refresh as standard.
And the dual cameras of the two new models will return to the vertical layout, similar to the design of the iPhone X, which was adjusted to allow the iPhone 16 to record spatial video, in conjunction with Apple’s own Vision Pro.
In terms of battery, the iPhone 16 will have a 3561mAh battery, the 16 Plus will have a 4006mAh battery, the 16 Pro will have a 3355mAh battery and the 16 Pro Max will have a 4676mAh battery.
It is worth noting that the iPhone 16 Plus is Apple’s last Plus model, and next year’s iPhone 17 series will join the iPhone 17 Slim to replace the Plus series.
