Samsung’s flagship foldable mobile phone Galaxy Z Flip 6 has become the new protagonist of the awarding stage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and the award ceremony, which in the past only the media could photograph from a distance, has become more personal. Each athlete on the podium took a selfie holding a Galaxy Z Flip6.
As part of the Paris 2024 welcome package, all athletes competing in the Olympic and Paralympic Games have received a brand new Galaxy Z Flip6 smartphone. Selfies on the awards stage are automatically uploaded to Athlete365, and Rayssa Leal, a Brazilian skateboarder and member of the Samsung team, said the “victory selfie” not only captures moments of glory, but also shows the friendship between the athletes.
Samsung has been working with the International Olympic Committee for 26 years, offering customized smartphones to Olympians since the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi. At the Paris Olympics, Samsung also used more than 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra phones to broadcast the athletes’ water parade at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
