iGEEKPHONE July 3 news, according to media reports, iPhone 16 is testing Samsung 48 million sensor main camera.
Looking back at previous models, the iPhone has usually used SONY’s CIS, but last year, there were some problems with cooperation between the two sides.
According to the report, because SONY failed to deliver the new image sensor in time, resulting in the iPhone 15 difficult to determine the launch time, Apple asked Samsung to develop a new image sensor to prepare for the iPhone 16.
It is reported that the Samsung sensor used in the iPhone 16 uses a three-wafer stack design, three wafers containing different components: photodiode, transistor and analog to digital converter.
The three-wafer stack design enables electrical interconnection between different wafer layers. Compared with the traditional two-layer stack, the wafer-level three-dimensional integration technology can simultaneously increase transmission speed, reduce latency, and bring higher performance and lower power consumption.
It is worth noting that the iPhone 16 is also equipped with a camera button to make it easier for users to record images.
Traditionally, iPhone 16 is expected to debut in September.
