At the 2024 I/O Developer Conference, Google announced that it will release Wear OS 5 later this year, and shared a new preview version with developers to give them access to new features and new apis.
Applied grid view
Developer Mishaal Rahman dug into the developer preview of Wear OS and found that Google had added a grid view to the app launcher.
Igeekphone has learned from the report that users have two ways to switch, one is to open the Settings > General > Application View Settings, or scroll down to the bottom of the list of applications to switch.
Privacy console
Under the ‘Apps and Notifications’ Settings in Wear OS 5, you’ll see the Privacy dashboard, a feature similar to Android 12’s for phones that displays a list of sensitive permissions and how often they’ve been accessed over the past 24 hours, making it easy to view and manage app permissions.
