According to Newsday on April 23, Sheldon Wood, Managing Director of Philip Morris Trinidad and Tobago (PMTT), has announced a Partnership with Total Partnership Management, a local company owned by Dominic Hadeed Group (ADHA) in the region Ltd (TPM) entered into a strategic business alliance.
PMTT said in a press release that TPM will be fully responsible for the nationwide distribution of all of its products (covering smokeless as well as tobacco products).
“TPM’s significant advantages in terms of infrastructure, logistics and future operational space building capabilities prompted PMTT to enter into a partnership to integrate all operations (smokeless and combustible products).”
Previously, TPM began distributing PMTT’s smoke-free products in November 2023.
According to Wood, TPM is an important factor driving the acceleration of PMTT in the country’s market.
“Trinidad and Tobago is a fertile ground for innovation and investment in the smoke-free sector and beyond in Central America and the Caribbean, not only driving the launch of our new smoke-free product, Veev Now, but also demonstrating PMTT’s confidence in the growth and success of the local commercial market.”
ADHA Group CEO Dominic Hadeed said TPM’s vision is aligned with PMTT’s.
“PMI is the number one tobacco company in the world and has ambitions to shift its business away from cigarettes and towards smokeless alternatives. Their vision of a decade without cigarettes is something I support 100%, and I am delighted that they have made TT a key investment, and I am equally proud to be part of this journey.
