Le Figaro reported on January 9 that 34-year-old Gabriel Attal replaced Elisabeth Borne as Prime minister of France.
He became prime minister after just five months as education minister. The former La Republique en marche spokesman’s energy and ambition, praised by most of his peers, as well as his ability to communicate, have steered him through new challenges.
However, while he appears energetic in the face of numerous challenges, he also has his own habits of coping with pressure. According to Le Figaro, he is an “anxious young man” who often drinks Coke Zero in between using e-cigarettes.
These are two things he has in common with his predecessor, Elisabeth Born, who was repeatedly criticised by opposition parties for incessantly smoking e-cigarettes in the National Assembly, despite the ban.
