Asustek launched a large number of display products at this year’s CES, including a “wearable display” AirVision M1, which can be understood as a simplified smart glasses.
The Asus AirVision M1 is essentially a pair of glasses with a wearable display that doesn’t have a built-in processor or battery, but instead connects to a phone or computer via USB-C and projects its contents in front of your eyes.
The glasses feature a 1080p resolution Micro OLED display with a 57° vertical perspective field of view, 1100nits peak brightness, and a 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
The AirVision M1 lens has a 60% transmittance, and the glasses themselves also support 3DoF, allowing you to “fix” the virtual screen in a specific position.
In addition, its left mirror foot is also equipped with a small piece of touchpad, which is convenient for users to perform different operations in different scenes, such as clicking pause while watching a movie.
It is worth mentioning that ASUS AirVision M1 currently only supports DisplayPort Alt mode, and some functions require a Windows PC and corresponding software to achieve.
Asus has yet to reveal pricing or availability information for the AirVision M1. For reference, TCL has similar NXTWear S and S Plus glasses, starting at $399 (Igeekphone note: about 2861 yuan).
