Gaming and Performance
Realme GT5 Pro has a built-in third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, supplemented by up to 16GB LPDDR5X + 1TB UFS4.0 flash memory, forming a new generation of performance iron triangle.
The version we received at Kuai Technology is the 16GB+1TB top version. Next, we conducted actual measurements of the theoretical performance and game performance of the Realme GT5 Pro.
Performance Testing
For the theoretical performance test, we selected the latest version of AnTuTu V10, GeekBench6.2.0, and GFXBench5.0.5 for testing. During the test, adjust the brightness of the phone to 50% and turn off automatic brightness, turn off memory expansion, and use performance mode (GT mode ) to carry out testing.
The first is the AnTuTu comprehensive performance test. The total score measured at normal temperature is 1.986 million, which is close to 2 million. Compared with the Realme GT5 equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen2, it has improved by about 23.6%. The CPU sub-item is 440,000 points, and the GPU sub-item is 440,000 points. The sub-score is 591,000 points, the memory is 344,000 points, and the UX is 291,000 points. Among performance mobile phones, these scores are among the best.
Next is the CPU single performance test. Geekbench 6’s single-core score is 2173 points, and the multi-core score is 6374 points. Compared with the previous generation, it has increased by 10% and 21.7% respectively. It seems that the multi-core performance improvement is quite large.
For GPU testing, we used six 1080P projects of GFXBench for testing. The third-generation Snapdragon 8 brought up to 20% performance improvement.
Game testing
Next, we conducted a detailed test on the gaming performance of the Realme GT5 Pro in an office environment with a room temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.
We selected three popular mobile games, namely “Honor of Kings”, “Peace Elite” and “Genshin Impact”, and selected the highest frame rate under the highest image quality (with image quality first) for game testing, and recorded the game process. frame rate, power consumption, energy efficiency ratio and body temperature performance.
1. King of Glory
Under the Honor of Kings’ ultimate picture quality + extremely high frame rate, the average frame rate of a team battle is stable at 119.3FPS. The game screen is stable and smooth, with almost no fluctuations. Realme GT5 Pro has no pressure at all when facing such elementary games.
The average power consumption is 2.99W, and the energy efficiency ratio is 39.9FPS/W. This energy efficiency ratio is relatively eye-catching among the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 models.
In terms of temperature, the maximum temperature on the front of the fuselage is 38.8 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature on the back is 37.5 degrees Celsius. There is no particularly obvious heat sensation when holding the phone during games, but there is only a slight feeling of warmth.
2. Peace Elite
Then we tested the 90-frame Peace Elite mobile game in high-definition quality. After a fierce battle, the average frame rate stabilized at 89.67 FPS. Our biggest feeling during the game was one word, stable!
We checked the power consumption, and the average was only 3.8W, which is comparable to the smooth 90 frames of Snapdragon 8 Gen2. The energy efficiency ratio of this generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is indeed very good. Of course, it is also indispensable for the real GT5 Pro’s exclusive optimization.
In terms of temperature, the maximum temperature on the front of the fuselage is 40.1 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature on the back is 38.2 degrees Celsius. At this time, you will feel a little heat when holding the phone with both hands.
3. Original God
Finally, we used the heavily loaded Genshin Impact and turned on the high-definition + 60 frame mode to run the map and fight monsters for half an hour of game testing.
There were no large fluctuations or frame drops during the game. The overall average frame rate was stable at 59.4FPS, running close to full frame. However, small fluctuations were still slightly frequent, but they did not affect the overall smoothness of the game.
In terms of power consumption, the average power consumption is 5.08W, and the energy efficiency ratio is 11.69FPS. This is much better than the Realme GT5 equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8. The energy efficiency ratio has increased by about 12%, which means that we can use lower Play smoother Genshin Impact games with less power consumption.
In terms of temperature, the maximum temperature on the front of the fuselage is 42.2 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature on the back is 39.3 degrees Celsius. Compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, the temperature is nearly 2 degrees Celsius lower.
Of course, the reason why it can bring such a low temperature depends on how much effort it has put into its heat dissipation capabilities.
realme has equipped the Realme GT5 Pro with the industry’s first 3VC iceberg cooling system, which has the largest VC in the history of the industry with a total area of up to 12,000mm², further breaking the industry’s passive cooling ceiling.
At the same time, it pioneered the 3VC three-dimensional heat dissipation structure, using copper material with better heat dissipation ability to accurately cover core heat sources such as SoC. The innovative three-cavity circulation heat dissipation design makes the 3VC structure overall thinner by 33%. Compared with the traditional single VC, it can achieve 600 % equivalent thermal conductivity, faster and more efficient heat dissipation.
It is worth mentioning that the previous generation of Realme GT5 pioneered the “Geek Performance Panel”, allowing game enthusiasts to adjust the frequency scheduling of the CPU at any time and control the operating status of the mobile phone’s CPU.
In the new generation of Realme GT5 Pro, the “Geek Performance Panel” has been upgraded to version 2.0, which enables dual GPU+CPU scheduling for the first time. The GPU can be directly pulled to the highest frequency of 903MHz of Snapdragon 8 Gen3, allowing each core of the phone to fully unleash its potential. , the performance is full across the board, and the performance of the mobile phone is as adjustable as a PC.
It is precisely because of the introduction of the Geek Panel 2.0 function that the Realme GT5 Pro becomes the industry’s first third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship to support free frequency modulation.
It should be noted here that the mobile games that currently support CPU+GPU scheduling include “Genshin Impact”, “Glory of Kings”, “Peace Elite”, “QQ Speed”, and “League of Legends Mobile Game”. Other mobile games also need Follow-up with in-depth adaptation.
Cameras
The main camera of Realme GT5 Pro uses a new generation of Sony LYT-808 flagship CMOS, a 1/1.4-inch photosensitive unit, a large aperture of F1.69, and combined with Realme’s flagship super light and shadow engine algorithm, it can truly achieve light and shadow effects beyond 1 inch.
The telephoto camera uses the same Sony IMX890 CMOS found in Find X6, with a 1/1.56-inch photosensitive unit, which is also the largest sensor ever used. The ultra-wide angle is 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 CMOS.
So what are its imaging capabilities? Let’s take a look at the actual proofs.
