Today, Lu Weibing took to Weibo to announce his return to Beijing and his unwavering commitment to preparing for the release and launch of the Redmi K70.
Upon returning to China, his very first task was to assess the progress of Wang Teng Thomas’s work and the preparations for the K70 launch conference.
Reflecting on his recent 14-day, 50,000-kilometer journey, he witnessed the confidence of Xiaomi’s overseas partners, the dedication of the front-line team, and the immense growth opportunities for Xiaomi on a global scale. With these experiences fresh in his mind, Lu Weibing emphasized the importance of diligently preparing for the release and launch of the K70, marking the onset of the fourth chapter of Redmi’s 10th anniversary.
It’s worth noting that the K70 represents the first wave of flagship phones to feature the third-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, poised to challenge the peak performance within its category.
Previously, Lu Weibing stated that the Xiaomi 14 series would debut first, followed by the K70 series, both of which are expected to be highly sought-after products. These two lines are deemed sufficient, eliminating the need for additional offerings.
Reports suggest that the Redmi K70 series will sport a cutting-edge 2K flexible direct screen, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, and a telephoto lens to enhance image quality, addressing the shortcomings of the previous generation. Furthermore, it will boast IP68 dustproof and waterproof capabilities.
At the system level, the Redmi K70 series will introduce The Paper OS, expected to be the inaugural flagship offering in the Redmi series to feature the HyperOS. This exciting opportunity is set to become available in November.
