According to the latest analysis by ECigIntelligence, single-use e-cigarettes account for nearly 40% of the e-cigarette industry.
After an initial boom in the United States, the disposable goods market is now growing at a faster rate in other countries.
Consumers are attracted to disposable products mainly because of convenience and low prices, but there are differences in international products.
For example, due to the EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) restrictions on the content of e-liquid in e-cigarette products, single-use product sizes have increased more in non-TPD countries.
On the other hand, there has been an increase in zero-nicotine products in some TPD markets because these products are allowed to have larger tank capacities.
Another notable recent development is the emergence of products that address environmental concerns associated with disposables, such as those made primarily of paper or with biodegradable ingredients.
To further understand the global disposable e-cigarette market, ECigIntelligence has now launched a disposable e-cigarette tracker.
The data shows the development of single-use e-cigarette pricing, technical features, taste and nicotine advantages for brands owned by leading online retailers since 2020. Users can even select a specific model and see the closest competitor on the market in terms of features such as number of pumps, fume capacity, battery capacity, and physical shape.
“The disposable market is growing so fast that there is an urgent need for reliable, in-depth data,” said Tim Phillips, managing director of Tamarind Intelligence, which produces ECigIntelligence. “This new tracker will provide the intelligence that players at all levels of the industry desperately need as they develop their disposable product strategies.”
