When there are many DDR4 memory options, TEAMGROUP is one of the manufacturers that can be said to be at the forefront of presenting this version of the memory kit solution with many interesting variants. One of them is of course the Elite series which is popular as a low-budget option but still packs reliable IC quality and good compatibility.
So, the laptop users who are curious about the performance of the TeamGroup Elite DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM that has just arrived. Curious? Read more below. By the way, many thanks to TeamGroup for sending me this DDR4 memory kit for review.
The specific memory kit we received boasts an impressive 32GB capacity, comprising two 16GB modules. It is rated at DDR4-3200, which ensures a high data transfer rate, all while operating at a standard voltage of 1.20V. The timings for this kit are CL22-22-22-52, and its model number is TED416G3200C22-SBK. These specifications make it ideal for most gaming laptops, offering a balanced blend of capacity, speed, and power efficiency.
TeamGroup Elite 16GB DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM costs around $55 in the Amazon/Newegg store, which is a good deal for this memory kit. The memory is also covered by a lifetime warranty and offers high compatibility with available laptops.

Now, let’s move through the specifications and unboxing, and after that, we will take a closer look at the memory itself and its performance.
Specifications
Package and its Contents
The memory arrived in a retail, blister-type package. The product is well described with general specifications, key features, and contact to support.
This packaging reveals the support in which the memory modules are placed, a plastic support with a black base, and a lid made of the same transparent material that allows the memory modules to be seen in their entirety.
Along with the blister, a small brochure is included with brief instructions for installing the memory modules and the lifetime warranty on these memory modules.
Closer look
The modules have dimensions of 67.6 x 30 mm with an arrangement of 8 memory chips (2048×8). This range is made up of models with capacities of 4GB / 4GBx2 / 8GB / 8GBx2 / 16GB / 16GBx2 / 32GB / 32GBx2 and speeds from 2133 Mhz to 3200 Mhz.
In this area, we see a sticker with the memory serial number, speed, and latency. In the test model, the latency is CL22-22-22-52, with a data bandwidth that reaches up to 25600 MB/s (PC25600). The connection to the laptop is made through 260 pins and a voltage of 1.2V.
The PCB is black, which suggests a memory series for gamers or computer enthusiasts. There is no heatsink as it’s not required, and if it was too thick, it could cause problems with installation in some laptops.
The specifications of the tested Elite memory are close to what we could see in more standard and gaming memory series. Considering high capacity, it would be hard to make anything much better, and as you will see on the next part of this review, the performance is high, even though the main timings would suggest otherwise.
Testing Device MSI Katana GF66 12UD
Below is an additional photo with Elite 32GBGB DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM installed in the laptop, which will be used for tests. This laptop is equipped with an 8-core Intel Core i7-12700H processor and an RTX350 graphics card. All tests were performed in a Windows 10 x 64 environment with the latest updates.
The most important is stability and performance, which we will test in the next part of this review.
Test of Performance
Before starting the performance tests, we are going to offer you a screenshot of Taiphoon Burner, which always provides information:
The memory chips are manufactured by Hynix, complying with the JEDEC PC-3200, with an 8-layer PCB, with an acceptable working temperature between 0-95ºC.
For the tests, we have used the MSI Katana GF66 12UD laptop, and using the Aida64 software to measure the sequential read/write/copy speed and also the latency. We have compared the previous results with the memory included in the laptop that served as a “bench” for us, consisting of a Samsung DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz memory kit:
As we can see, we obtained very good results from these TeamGroup Elite SO-DIMM DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz memory modules. A sequential read speed of 46692 MB/s, write of 45721 MB/s, and copy of 44072 MB/s, with a latency of 93.9 ns.
Last Conclusions
We have reached the end of the review of this ELITEGROUP ELITE SO-DIMM DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz memory kit. They stand out for their notable features, a beautiful design with an eight-layer black PCB, and a lifetime warranty. It is an ideal kit to give an extra plus to our laptop since the 32GB of memory will allow us to face a greater workload.
