Huawei announced an autumn full-scene new product launch conference scheduled for September 25. Alongside the Mate 60 series of mobile phones, the event will showcase other products, including the new Watch GT4 series, Huawei MatePad A series of tablets, and Huawei headphones. The WiFi version of Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 appeared on Geekbench, revealing that it has the same Kirin 9000s chip as the Mate 60 series, comes with 12GB of memory, and runs HarmonyOS 4.0.0.116, compatible with AOSP 12.
It’s important to note that the tester used Geekbench 6.1.0, which hasn’t been adapted for hyper-threading, resulting in the display of eight cores. Currently, there’s only one running score data available in Geekbench, showing no advantage over the Mate 60 series. However, given the tablet’s expected superior heat dissipation compared to mobile phones, we anticipate higher running scores in the future.
According to previous reports, this tablet will be available in five SKUs, with the 12GB + 256GB version priced at 4,999 yuan and offered in three colors: Yachuan Green, Crystal White, and Obsidian Black.
The new Huawei MatePad Pro has upgraded to a 13.2-inch size, featuring a narrower screen frame and a higher screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, it introduces StarLight technology and offers faster and more stable connectivity with the new generation Huawei M-Pencil.
Notably, the poster’s lower left corner reveals that the 13.2-inch Huawei MatePad Pro will be equipped with StarLight (NearLink) connection technology. Yu Chengdong previously emphasized that StarFlash reduces power consumption by 60%, increases data transmission rates by 6 times, reduces delay to 1/30, and allows for 10 times more connections compared to traditional wireless connections.
NearLink represents a new generation of wireless short-range communication technology, combining the strengths of traditional wireless technologies like Bluetooth and WiFi. It is suitable for various scenarios, including consumer electronics, smart homes, new energy vehicles, and industrial smart manufacturing. StarLight technology significantly reduces communication and interaction delays between Hongmeng ecological terminals, expands signal coverage between devices by 2 times, and enhances reliability from 90% to 99.99%, while also increasing anti-interference capability by 7 dB.
