In early November, Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce two new additions to its Xiaomi 14 series, positioning them as competitors to the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max. The commencement of mass production took place just a few days ago.
It has been reported that Xiaomi’s plan is to unleash the Xiaomi 14/Pro series mobile phones in early November. Remarkably, the volume of stockpiles has experienced a remarkable 60% year-on-year surge alongside the onset of mass production.
As per insider sources within Xiaomi, the quantity of omnichannel stocking orders has witnessed a substantial 60% growth compared to the same period last year. Concurrently, the Xiaomi Mi 13 series has impressively met its annual sales target one quarter ahead of schedule.
Xiaomi’s visionary founder, Lei Jun, has repeatedly emphasized his aspiration to compete with Apple. During the Xiaomi 12 press conference on December 28, 2021, Lei Jun introduced the idea of officially benchmarking Apple and gradually surpassing the tech giant in the future. In his annual speech on August 14 of this year, Lei Jun once again underscored the significance of benchmarking against the iPhone. He stated, “When I initially brought up the idea of benchmarking the iPhone, many skeptics ridiculed our ambitions, perceiving it as opportunistic. However, I firmly believe that only by benchmarking the iPhone can we aspire to catch up with and eventually outpace it. Hence, in all our future press conferences, I will, if necessary, draw parallels with the iPhone.”
Xiaomi is currently in the process of testing MIUI 15, which is based on Android 14. Code analysis hints at Xiaomi’s plans to launch the Xiaomi 14 series models in China during the first week of November. Additionally, blogger @digitalchatstation’s previous reports indicate that a new phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor may make its debut as early as the end of October, with Xiaomi as the likely candidate for its release.
