Sony has declared its intention to conduct an Xperia new product launch conference at 3 p.m. on September 1st. During this event, the company is anticipated to unveil the Sony Xperia 5 V.
In a recent development, existing users stumbled upon the appearance of the North American model on Geekbench. This revelation exposed some crucial specifications.
As indicated by the Geekbench findings, the Xperia 5 V (XQ-DE54) derives its power from a 3.19GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Accompanied by 8GB of RAM, it comes pre-installed with an Android 13-based operating system.
In terms of performance assessments, the Xperia 5 V attained a score of 1,453 in the single-core test and 4,556 in the multi-core test.
The promotional advertisement for the Sony Xperia 5Ⅴ has come to light. A conspicuous departure from its predecessor lies in the transformation of the rear camera module, transitioning from three cameras to dual cameras.
Regarding specifications, reports suggest that the Sony Xperia 5 V will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will offer the choice between a 16GB and a 12GB memory version, both supporting 33W fast charging.
The previous iteration, the Xperia 5 IV mobile phone, is slated for release in China in October 2022. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The 8GB+256GB version of the Xperia 5 IV carries a price tag of 6,299 yuan. Sporting a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, it boasts a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
