The Redmi 12 has hit the shelves and is now open for reservations, with the official sale date set for August 16th. Following Lei Jun’s annual address, Xiaomi has also unveiled the pricing details for this model:
- The 6+128GB variant comes at 999 yuan.
- You can grab the 8+128GB version for 1099 yuan.
- For the 8+256GB configuration, the cost is 1299 yuan.
Available in elegant shades of ice porcelain white and star rock gray, the Redmi 12 has a sleek design featuring a double-sided glass body with a vertical edge, all within an 8.17mm slim profile.
On the front, the phone showcases a 6.79-inch LCD with a crisp resolution of 2460×1080. It’s a treat for the eyes with its 90Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and intelligent brightness adjustment capabilities.
Running the show under the hood is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor (notably fabricated on a 4nm process, boasting Kryo CPU cores that can clock up to 2.2 GHz). This is complemented by LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 flash memory. Keeping the lights on is a substantial 5000mAh battery, which Xiaomi confidently claims can keep you powered up for an impressive 1.39 days. A robust 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens handle the photography front.
Turning to other features, the Xiaomi Redmi 12 runs out of the box on the MIUI14 operating system. It retains practical features such as a 3.5mm headphone jack, an infrared remote control, side-mounted fingerprint unlocking, and the convenience of a multi-function NFC.
