OpenAI today announced via the official X (Twitter) account that ChatGPT has now been upgraded to GPT-4 version by default.
Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4 is a multimodal large-scale language model created by OpenAI and the latest version of the AI model trained by the company.
ChatGPT had been running by default on GPT-3.5, meaning it had fallen behind Microsoft’s Bing Chat.
Igeekphone has attached the following official OpenAI tweet:
Prompt example: Blank space may make the user feel at a loss. Now when you start a new chat, you can see some examples to help you start a conversation.
Recommended response: During the chat session, ChatGPT will provide relevant questions, and the user can click to drill down into the chat. ChatGPT will now continue the conversation with you in the suggested way.
GPT-4 enabled by default: Available to Plus users, ChatGPT will remember the model you previously selected – no longer default back to GPT-3.5.
Upload multiple files: You can now ask ChatGPT to analyze data and generate insights across multiple files. The Code Interpreter Beta is available to all Plus users.
