Igeekphone news on July 17, Samsung will release the Galaxy Watch 6 series smart watch next week. Ahead of the official launch, the exterior design of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has been leaked through 3D CAD renderings and official product images. Now, more details about the two upcoming smartwatches have also been revealed, including their sizes and versions.
According to a leaked poster from Samsung’s official partner, the Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be available in 43mm and 47mm sizes. Both smartwatches will be available in Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + cellular (LTE) versions.
The leaked images also show that Samsung will offer a gift worth 10,000 won (about 56 yuan) to users who buy any of its new smartwatches in South Korea, and the poster also mentions July 27 as the official launch date of the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
The design of the Galaxy Watch 6 is similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 series, and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have a physically rotating bezel, similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Both of the upcoming smartwatches will have circular OLED screens that are 20 percent larger than the Galaxy Watch 5. They will also use a slightly improved processor, the Exynos W930, with a slightly higher clock speed. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 and 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are reported to have 300mAh batteries, The 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 and 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are powered by 425mAh batteries.
