Today Xiaomi holds press conference in Beijing to release Surging S1 processor and Xiaomi MI5C. This Surging S1 processor is the first product of Xiaomi Pinecone processor, adopting 28nm HPC+ architecture, Octa core Cortex- A53, the big core has 2.2GHz, the small core has 1.4GHz.
Surging S1 is built in Mali-T860 GPU, four core architecture, similar GPU to Helio P20. Xiaomi MI5C is built in RAM 3GB ROM 64GB internal storage, dual camera with 12MP back and 8MP front camera, 2,860mAh battery, 9V/2A quick charge. According to Xiaomi official, overall performance of Surging S1 processor is a little stronger than Snapdragon 625 and Helio P20, so what is the real fact? Let’s see the test.
Due to time issue, Xiaomi MI5C only is been test by Antutu, under 50% battery left, Xiaomi MI5C finally got 58,232 scores. Although it’s not as high as official report, it is still very powerful, after all, it is not tested under 100% power. And it’s the first time for Xiaomi to do mid-range processor.
