Huawei’s summer all-scene product release conference has been officially announced to be held at 19:30 on May 18.
Huawei has now announced that it will bring the “Huawei MatePad New Series” to its summer all-scene product launch event. The new MatePad features “light” and “new”, which sounds like “more beautiful”. Our guess is that this new line of tablets will be positioned at the mid-to-high end of the flagship tablet market, focusing on workplace light office productivity, which will be better than the digital series in every way, but not as good as the two MatePad Pro models.
According to the leaks, Huawei will introduce a number of new products at the event, including the Huawei MatePad Air series, Huawei Watch 4 Series, and Huawei Matebook E 2023. If anything, the new MatePad is the Huawei MatePad Air.
According to the known information of Igeekphone at present, MatePad Air is equivalent to the orthodox iteration of MatePad 11 2021. Currently, the certified models include DBY2-W00, DBY2Z-AL00 and DBY2-AL00, two of which are 4G LTE version. A Wi-Fi-only model with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 8200mAh battery and 40W fast charge support.
It’s worth noting that this tablet was already on Honor of Kings’ list of high framerate adaptors. As a tablet suitable for gaming and with an 8200mAh battery, the screen is certainly not too big, but not too small either, with an expected 10-11 inch screen, which could be a boon for mobile gamers of all kinds.
In terms of price, the starting price of Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is 3,499 yuan. Considering the positioning of MatePad Air is a little lower, but at the same time it is slightly higher than MatePad 11 2023 model (2199~2899 yuan), the price is expected to be in the range of 3,000 yuan.
