Google has now made Android 14 Beta 1 available to Pixel users, the first Beta version of Android 14, with version number UPB1.230309.014, following several developer previews.
The version is for early adopters and Android enthusiasts who want to try out upcoming features in Android 14, and is available for development, testing and general use, Google said.
Android 14 Beta 1 is available for the following devices, and phones running Android 13 QPR3 or the Android 14 Developer Preview can be OTA upgraded directly to the new version:
Pixel 4a (5G)
Pixel 5 and 5a
Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
Pixel 6a
Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

When an application requests visual media permissions, if the user grants partial access to his or her visual media library (photos/videos) and then denies that access, the application will no longer freeze, blink, or stop requesting permissions.
If an application uses a custom visual media selector and the user chooses to grant partial access to their visual media library, the application’s selector now immediately displays the items the user selected.
