Canon today announced two new additions to its FLEX ZOOM LENS line:
Wide-angle zoom lens CN-E14-35mm T1.7L S/SP
Telephoto zoom lens CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7L S/SP
Both lenses support Super35mm cameras, and Canon will sell the “RL-S1”, “RL-S2”, “RL-F1”, “RL-F2” rear lens kit, and carry out the rear lens kit replacement service, so that the lens can be compatible with “full frame” and “Super35mm” freely switch.
Canon has introduced a rear-lens replacement kit for four models of FLEX ZOOM LENS, including the new product. It also supports the replacement of lens bayonets (EF bayonets and PL bayonets), and supports various communication functions, enabling more flexible lens use with multiple cameras and photography styles.
The rear lens kit is an optical component that can change the imaging circle. By replacing the rear lens kit “RL-S1” and “RL-S2”, the wide Angle/telephoto zoom lens that can support the full-frame image sensor can be used as the camera lens equipped with the Super35mm image sensor.
Similarly, the wide Angle/telephoto zoom lens that supports the Super35mm image sensor can be used as the wide Angle/telephoto zoom lens that supports the full-frame image sensor through the replacement of the rear mirror set kit “RL-F1” and “RL-F2”.
In addition, Canon has also released firmware upgrades for its CINEMA EOS cameras, which will be available for download from mid-June.
