Apple today released new support documentation that provides Apple Watch Ultra smartwatch owners with water resistance testing to verify that the watch depth gauge and seals are in good condition.
Apple Watch Ultra owners can request a water seal test for their device through Apple’s normal online support channels.
Apple will first inspect the Apple Watch Ultra to see if there is any visible damage. No damage was found on the exterior of the apple and the Apple will be tested with a water seal and depth gauge.
The support document also warns that if the Apple Watch Ultra has damage that is not visible to the naked eye and problems occur during testing, users will have to pay for a replacement if the problem is not covered by the warranty. After the watch is sent to Apple, it will be tested within 7 to 10 business days and returned to you.
